India is still far behind developed markets like the US when it comes to mobile gaming. Although the country has millions of talented programming geeks, it is still lagging behind other countries because of varied reasons, including the lack of innovation and marketing techniques. Techcircle.in recently organised the Digital Gaming Forum 2013 in Mumbai which saw participation from leading games entrepreneurs, including Vishal Gondal, founder, Indiagames.com; Mohit Sureka, founder and CEO, Spiel Studios; Virat Singh Khutal, founder and CEO, Twist Mobile; Alok Kejriwal, CEO and co-founder, Games2win; and Bhavin Pandya, founder and CEO, Rummycircle.

In a panel discussion on ‘Creating world-class gaming products', these experts opined that mobile gaming companies need to think about the next 20 years while developing games. Entrepreneurs also need to think beyond smartphones and tablets, and have to look at future devices like Google Glass to launch their games. They also discussed the future of the Indian gaming industry, innovation and competition. Watch video for more.
