Schroders Hires Asia Real Estate Head

In an indication of a growing interest in Asian real estate, Schroder Investment Management, a global asset management company with £130.2 billion ( $259.1 billion) under management has James Buckley to fill the newly created position of head of Asia property multi-manager. James Buckley will be handling research and investment in indirect unlisted real estate funds across Asia. He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Head of Property Multi-Manager Jenny Buck. Before Schroders, Buckley was the director of investment and acquisition for Harvest Capital Partners. He has also worked for Grosvenor in the Asian markets. The asset management company recently strengthened its MENA investment team. Schroders operates in India through Schroders India Private Limited.

ASK Group Hires Amit Bhagat To Head Its Real Asset management Business

ASK Group, one of the leading players in wealth advisory business and equity research  has now decided to foray into the real estate sector. The ASK Group has announced the appointment of Amit Bhagat as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its proposed real asset management and advisory business.

Bhagat joins ASK from ICICI Home Finance where he was the head of property services business.  "The appointment is an important step in providing an impetus to the group's plans in this strategically important initiative to further increase its product suite for its core HNI clientele," the release said.

ASK Group's Executive Director, Sunil Rohokole, said  "Amit with his widespread experience in the real estate business will play an important role in crystallising the strategy and execution for the real estate asset management and advisory  business of the group."
